It was printed at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington DC.

They were printed by the BEP in DC.
They were in production from 1928 through 1971. The $5 note had began being pulled from circulation in 1966...

    Hope that helps some??

Yes, pretty much ALL US currency was printed at the BEP in DC up until the early 90's when they started printing Federal Reserve notes in Fort Worth Texas as well.

thanks for the help! so basically if i come across anything before 1966 then it would be a good idea to hang on to?

That is correct!! And prior to the BEP taking over the printing, the plates for Large Size notes before 1869 (i think, need to look it up)... were engraved by the American Bank Note Company (NY) and the Columbian Bank Note Company for US currency as well.
