Looks like damage to me. Note on the site the image of the earlobe. There is no lower area on it as in the first image. Also the evidence of the spread is missing. So I say no. Sorry.
Hi, I recently posted pictures of three 1997 cents with doubled ears. One thing to mention is that our skills at looking at coins needs to be improved as we go along as these, which are identical in look to the ones in the CPG look nothing like the one shown at the beginning of the thread.
