I was just updating some subscriptions I have for the mint adn was thinking. Do I really need to have one for the presidential proof dollars and one for the silver proof set. Technically I get the same dollar coins twice. Does anyone forsee a chande in the packaging of the silver proof set that would make it beneficial to keep both?

    No.

The only possible benefit would be some catastrophe where the silver proof sets will never be issued, and I can't imagine that.

The only reason to get the Presidential proofs is if you want sets of only the Presidents.

I intend to pass these sets on to my (future) grandchildren as a way to maybe interest them in this hobby. Combine that with a little history lesson at the same time I hope.

(yeah, yeah, my wife laughs at this thought too. :goofer: )
