I don't see a listing in cherry pickers, I know a pic would help but I don't have good enough equipment to show it, but the lower edge of all the letters in "five cents" and the lower edge of the date look doubled. No other elements look doubled. I am fairly certain it is machine doubling, it looks like machine doubling especially since it is obverse and reverse but has anyone run across a DD version for this SMS date?
If it helps it is a slabbed NGC 69, the rest of the die features are amzingly sharp, so I doubt deterioration, but maybe, I still lean towards MD but I will see if I can get pics that show it tomorrow, thanks!
