2008 u.s.mint american legacy collection

Like I said, I like the sets, just tired of buying something that is automatiacally worth less than what I bought it for and continues to decrease in value every year. Seems like that is happening more and more with mint purchased items.

try to buy a complete set

always buy a complete series and usually it come out a key date and the price is skyrocketed. even some years you lost some. and as a whole set. you might gain.

 

they forgot the half dollar. Not cool.

 

will there be 2009 legacy set?. maybe. right?.

 

I think it has been posted that the mint has discontinued the Legacy set for 2009.

 

I've never picked up a Legacy Set. They would have interested me more if the silver were real coin silver. The clad proofs are a let down.

 

Maybe a bad descision, but I have two of each of them issued so far...

I was going to go ahead and get the '09 depending on the price, but like you all I'm hearing it got squashed this year...

 

the mint should have issue legacy set every year. so that the collectors will be able to collect a set composed of every single year.

 

They can. 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 they made them for four years and you can collect every single year. Just because the mint makes something you can';t say they should be obligated to make them every year from then on. They make Jefferson nickels now but should they have continued striking buffalos as well just so collectors could still have them every single year? And V Nickels, and Shield nickels? All four designs every single year? What about the fractional Platinums? They made them for several years, but for the most part no one was buying them. Should they have to keep making pieces at no one is buying just because they made them in the past?

Umm No not as of yet and as we were all discussing the rumor is no 2009 Set....

I'd like to know who they make their descision... It'd be nice if collecters could log in and vote on issues and sets...
