What do you think of this suspicious 1889 CC? Genuine or Counterfeit?

So a couple things that jump out at me right away with this coin even with the poor photos.
The toning appears to have been painted on the coin, it doesnt seem natural.
The look of the observe is off.
the breast on the rear appears to have the known counterfeit strike.
Its a brand new seller with no feedback. either score or get burned and more likely it is a burn.

What do yall think genuine or counterfeit?

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

    Counterfeit, clearly.

    The date is wrong.
    The dentils are wrong.
And the MintMark is very wrong.

You'll notice he doesn't show clear pics of the mintmark - there's a reason for that.

    Counterfeit

Regardless, one does not simply buy an uncertified 89-CC on eBay and expect it not to be a fake.

I agree with Bradley. 1889 CC NOT in a PCGS or NGC slab? Got to be a reason for that. Steer clear of sales like this.

0 feedback. "This coin has been in a display case for the last 50 years." "Apmex the king of online buying gave a decent offer but I would rather sell to someone who appreciates the beauty." - yeah, sure. I don't have to look at the coin to want to run away.
