After I hear from the BEP, depending, I will probably try to mail it to the Atlanta FRB. I would go in person, but its 50 miles away and it wouldn't really be worth it to sit in traffic for a couple hours. Atlanta traffic on I85/75 is horrible, I don't go unless I absolutly have to.
I'm pretty sure you will be able to take it to the bank and get a replacement. We give replacements for over 50% of the bill. This one is close so not sure but worth a try. I've never had one brought in with this little of the bill so I'd have to ask someone from our main bank before I did it.
i always heard the same thing.. if its more then 50%, then you can exchange it... but its tough to argue with urban... he work at a bank, and if he wouldnt take it... so much for the BEP rules good luck, and hopefully the reserve bank or somebody willstand by the rule. personally, i might keep it lol you wouldnt be out anything
I just recieved a response from the BEP. They said they will accept it, I just have mail it to the address for mutilated currency.
