    Hello Friends,

I have 3 options and only enough $$$ for one of them....(one I will have to pay more)

Please let me know your choice, if you were faced with the same situation!
I know it is me who will make the final decision, but I just wanted to know your thoughts as well.
SN#s have been blurred out until a decision has been made.

The $1000 NY Note is a PMG 64 PPQ
The Hancock Note is a PMG 64
The Tombstone Note is an AU53

    Thanks in advance!

RickieB, even though I like all 3 notes I would have to go with the NY note. That is if I was trying to put together a high quality NY note collection. :)

I collect primarily small size notes so it's a no brainer for me....the $1000 FRN. Always wanted one of those...hell, always wanted a $500 note too and haven't managed to get that one yet either!!

Anyway, imho a $1000 bill is more impressive than a $2 or a $10, especially if you don't already own a large denomination note.

Just as a reminder...I am putting together a Large Size Collection as well.
The Hancock Note and the Tombstone notes are quite rare.....

The FR# is 243 for the Hancock Rosecrans/Huston
    Tobstone Note is FR# 301 Lyon/Roberts

if you have no 1000 in your small size NY collection, finish it off and then concentrate on the Large size

i have the tombstone, and the hancock is obtainable in the future.. i would go for the $1000 myself.. they are less available then the others, even in the grades listed.

I'd put a 1/2 deposit on the $1000 and the other half on the $2.

WOW!!!.. Really surprised with the responses!

The Tombstone note only has 123 Known (this variety)

The Hancock with these signatures is even fewer and only a handfull exist in higher grades (This FR#243 is scarce) The FR#242 is more abundant!

The $1000 Series 1934A was the second largets run of the 12 Districts with 139,200 printed, Chicago had the highest printing of ~355,800 and Minneapolis had the smallest of them all, 26,640.

    Thanks for the imput guy's.

First off i did not know that but to speak for most i think we all are impressed and goggled eyed with how many numbers are on the bill and how much it is worth, and it also looks somewhat like todays currency even though it is 80 years old its your decision just make sure you are happy with it

All beautiful notes. What a dilemma ! Without seeing the statistics, I asked my wife to pick one. She picked the Hancock based on it's beauty. I would pick the Hancock also based on it's rarity. The Tombstone is killer too. I have never seen one. I've seen plenty of $1000's though. #1: Hancock, #2: Tombstone, #3: $1000. Good luck in choosing and I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever one you decide on.......................................John

As much as I would like the $1000 bill, I'd go for the two dollar note. It looks good.

I would have to go with the $2 Hancock simply because I like the design and the sig :)

I voted for the $10 Tombstone, because I love how it looks. The Hancock is beautiful too. Tough decision RickieB good luck, and either way you get a great note :thumb:.
