Snagged this guy, has good eye appeal but some minor bag marks. For some reason i just can't seem to turn down a decent 50-D Jefferson, I now have 4 of the same date. Tell me how you feel

I feel that's a nice coin! Like the yellow toning. The steps look well struck, but I would be wary of paying an FS premium as there are areas of significant weakness elsewhere.

As you know, these coins were heavily hoarded and are readily available in mint state. Now try and find an XF example -- that's a FAR rarer coin than the above.

However, the only opinion that really matters is your own -- so how do YOU feel about the coin?

I'd still rather have a BU one than XF.

Now if you found it in your change that would really be impressive!

I still think this particular coin has great potential to go much higher in price. I wish I would have bought a few five years ago, when you could pick them up for around $6 yet.
