Hi everybody, I'm new to the site and have a dime question. I got this dime in change a couple years ago, it is a 2005 and came from the Philly mint. It appears that it was misaligned when getting stamped both front and back. There is also almost no ridges on the entire outside edge either. Just currious as to a rough ballpark of what it might be worth.

ahhh very nice coin... The error would be an off center coin.
    Ballpark is around $10

that is a definite error and I've seen people hotly pursue those at coin shows.

What you may have is a partial collar strike it has a rairoad rim

I agree with Just Coins. This coin doesn't look off center to me. The whole design appears to be on the coin. I think this is a partial collar that looks like it was tilted. The reeding appears like it is deeper on the bottom of the reverse but tapers as it comes up disappearing about 3/4's around. I think this is a tilted partial collar dime. The partial collar makes the obverse appear broadstruck.

I'd call it an uncentered broadstrike. It isn't an off-center because all of the design is there. But the collar is missing so it is a broadstrike. The Broadstrike comes in three "flavors" Centered, uncentered, and off-centered. Naturally enough the difference is whether the planchet is centered between the dies so the unstruck area is even all te way around, uncentered so the unstruck area is on one side but the entire design is visible, and off-centered where the planchet is to one side and part of the design is missing. An off-centered broadstrike and and off-center are very similar, the difference being whether or not the collar was jammed down around the anvil die so the face of the die was flush or almost flush with the surface of the collar. On an off-center coin the collar is not jammed down and often these coins will show a slight and sometimes significant bend in the coin.
