Does this have multiple issues? 1st the "I" in liberty..Machine Damage? And the "3" in date. A die crack or worn die? Any help would be nice

Seems like a worn die to me, notice there is something wrong with the E in Liberty also... like a spot where it bunched up a bit... I havent noticed this at all with any of my 53's to this point. But who knows, maybe there are some DD's out there for that year.

Why so bright pics i had to put my sun glasses on i felt like i was looking at the sun.Looks like die deterioration doubling or abrasion doubling.

The doubling is die wear similar to the 1955 "poor man's double die". the problem with the "E" is a die chip.

    Hi,

The doubling is die deterioration doubling and is seen on many coins. It has no extra value.

And also mentioned above, the E has a minute die chip. Also very common.

    Thanks,
    Bill
