Just had a look and they look rather nice, and a bit different to the Danscos

Without paper pages, these albums would seem to solve many of the issues with other albums.

Never heard of them. I would like to see one myself prior to saying anything about them. I know one thing though. $35.95? WOW is that high. And I believe that is for an album of only a few pages. Not sure. The add says the pages are of polystyrene. Again, I would like to examine one of those. My experience with polystyrene is rather on the brittle side. The three ringed pages would make any of my Whitman pages not fit. Odd they use the same color as Whitman Albums. Mostly I'm a little leary about that price.

I went back and relooked at that add again. Please note the Shipping and Handling. It goes from 0 to $35 as $6.50. From $35.01 to $70 is $8.00. Of course that Indian Head Cent Album is $35.01. Note the .01 that makes the necessity to add another $8.00 to that album. Then too look at the prices of say the Lincoln Cent Album. From 1959 to 2007 only is $47.95 plus the $8.00 for the S&H. By the time you buy some of their albums you will not have money to buy coins.

I guess at the end of the day, albums are ok for lower grade, and therefore less expensive coins. But if you're spending big bucks, you need to spend some money to protect your investment, right?

I had a 30 year run of late red lincolns from when I was a kid that all turned an unsightly color. The monetary damages were small, obviously, but it's a great lesson going forward.

It's a shame, because I really like the look of albums. But at the end of the day, they're impractical. Let's say you're collecting VG indian heads, you still probably have the '77 slabbed, and why break it out?

    Sigh.

I use albums for circulated only now... except for my state quarters with proofs and presidential dollars ;)
