I have been trying to create/update my database of coins (in case something unforeseeable happens). I came across this one and have not been able to determine a value for this one. a proof 1965 Cuba 1 Peso. It has the plain edge. As I understand only a handful of this type exist.
    Any suggestions??

I don't believe its a coin, just bullion or a medal. Its designed like the 1897 Peso.

Alright from what I aquired is that is was made by the Cuban exiles in the US to raise funds to fight Castro's regimen and the liberation of Cuba. Worth probably about $140. And it is BU Prooflike not Proof(at least what I can tell).

Doesn't look like 10 ounces or so of sterling silver to me!

That $140 is a collecter value. I did a little research after I posted my first comment. My mind works a little backwords. Besides I didn't really expect it to be much of anything. BTW I said it was probably a medal or bullion.
