$50 for the 4 coins, which is $17 less than issue price back in 1993. The 2 dollar coins are 90% silver and I got them for $20 each, which is $1.52 below melt.
This arrived today after a 3-week tour through the Postal Service. Patience is indeed virtue, I suppose...
I purchased this when it was released from the mint because my father suggested it. I am waiting for them to mail it back but here is the pic from NGCs website.
That $50 Buffalo reminds of a couple of years ago when I was playing golf solo and the starter teamed me up with a threesome. On the second green, one of the guys threw down a raw $50 Buffalo as a ball marker, which impressed me no end. I said to him "Kinda big for a ball marker, don't you think?" Without a beat he said, "If you can't hit the hole, what makes you think you can hit my ball marker?" We all had a convivial round and I played with them several more times over the ensuing months. BTW, my ball marker is a 1927 SLQ about VF-25. Younger players often ask me what it is. Sorry for the digression.
Not too much farther to go, a fun project mostly completed searching bins hence the tougher dates remaining empty.
I love how the ‘C’ in America is about half ground away. Also the obverse have DDO hints. Very cool coin.
