Could someone please give me an opinion on the Intercept albums and if they are safe, and are they really better than Dansco? Somebody convinced me at one time, so I bought albums for my Lincoln collections, and spent days transferring them over to Intercept. It takes a lot of time dealing with the proofs in the albums, trying not to touch them even with the gloves. They have been in my safety deposit box, and I haven't seen them for quite some time. Thanks.

Unfortunately this is true. They usually cost more too. I'm a Whitman person though and have had no problems with them for possibly 60 years now. I do put all of them in zip lock bags though.
Regardless of manufaturers of coin albums, if stored properly, makes very little difference.

Having a restored Chevy does not make a coin collector you know. Has to be a Crysler product.

With that being said and taking a load off my mind too Spock, a few years back I replaced almost every one of my albums with Intercept. I wanted confirmation because the Lincoln albums took the longest and were the hardest to replace, with close to 300 coins to replace in each album.
What brought this to my mind is that I received an email from Intercept letting me know that in March they were releasing the update for the Lincoln cent albums, which will have from 2008 forward. Hope this was helpful to someone else.

Damn. I was afraid that the 7000 used PVC, it was just too good to be true. For now, I'm going to continue using the 7000, checking it regularly though. There's just nothing better for me, shy of a coin cabinet, which would be a foolish choice at my age.
