Since Daggarjon mentioned WWII epehmera from Japan in another thread, here is one for him. This is a 20 yen China Incident Discounted Treasury Bond issued in 1939. The Japanese War Bonds are a long and complicated series with many different varieties. This one was saved as a souvenir by an American who had several people sign it. It is the only bond I have seen used as a short snorter. Must be over 100 signatures on both sides of this thing.
i have never seen anything other then a note used as a short snorter ... but considering the amount of signatures, maybe that one should be a long snorter That is a great bond lettow What are the dimensions of that bond? The only bond i have, which i framed beacuse of the subject matter, is 12"x14". I would think if it was large enough, carrying it around would be a bit difficult. I see some verticle fold lines, but dont see any horizontal lines. Thanks for posting
