you can order 5,000 pc of uncirculated 2009 sacagawea dollar directly from the u.s. mint without shipping charge. that's a bonus. it is good for people doing business. all coins were new. i think people buying from that store will accept the dollar change. because it is simply new. for collectors. this is the first issue and the first series of another mint product. try to order some. the mintage should be below 50,000,000 each. which are (P) & (D) mint mark.
Thanks - i see it now Wow, you can order up to 20 boxes i thought the 2009s carried the same policy as the President dollar coin Direct Ship Policy - 2 box limit ($500)
that's right. but then why is it the van buren dollar did not show up on the direct free shipment area?.

i wonder in the future. it will be hard to check the date and the mint mark. because it was lightly struck.
Judging by these numbers, does anyone think the 2008's will bring a premium in the years to come? ...Or are these all going to be slugs?
Being that the only people who are using them are within the collecting world (collectors and dealers), and the huge glut of all years in the market right now, in general -NO. And there's plenty of 2008 MS67, MS68 TPG certified examples around. Those are considered the "higher grades" - very few TPG MS69 examples of any years, though - excluding the satin finish mint set coins. If the mintage stays low on the 2009 though, we may see MS67 and MS68 examples harder to come by than 2008. Darn that satin finish! I wish they would do away with it, or make all the business strikes satin also. Used to be able to get some better coins from mint sets, and now they're different animals.
Don't let the mint hear your frustration. They might come out with several varieties, finishes, and compositions just to eliminate the surpluses!
since there were many coins produced in each type or denomination from the mint. i hope the mint will create a lot of different varieties. such as small date and large date. small head and large head and so forth. lightly struck and highly struck. different mint mark. like (w) mint mark for general circulation also. will it be cool?.
Be careful what you wish for. I'm sure there is someone working at the mint with these same thoughts. I have to admit, it would liven up the series a little.
You know ,I DIDN'T LIKE THE Sacojawea at first. But after examining her " mona lisa" smile she's intriguing. The revese is outstanding with that eagle if full wingspan. Question: Will she always hold her value in UNC. oR ARE PROOFS THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP VALUE?
