For Elaine1970, after bouncing all around the ebay 2009 penny site, I came across the following info!! Supposedly there were LESS than 100,000 Mint Wrapped roll sets produced, if so where would this info come from??? Also one seller claims $5000. worth of rolls were distributed at each commerative celebration, True?? Things are certainly humming on these first Lincolns, just like the first Lewis & Clark nickels. (Hope they turn out better than those did!!!!)
there were 97,149 roll set sold as of last week. it should be around 99,850 when those sets sold out. those were 97.5% zinc cent. and the total produced were around 536,800,000 pc as of february from the mint report. every denominations were be the lowest for this year i think. like puerto rico quarters. and of course the forgotten roosevelt dime.
