I was the Guinness record holder in coins collecting for a short time during 2001. I collect coins since 1976, and I do it "proffessionally since 1994. Links to sites offering coins for sale are only permitted in the Open Forum. http://members.tripod.com/~GILAD_ZUCKERMAN/kejuaraan_dunia.jpg
is it just me or does that "nickel cent" look like a zinc cent with the copper plating missing? Awefully strange considering the copper plated zinc cents didn't start until 1982. hmmm
I have also the "copper plated zinc" cents of the year 1982... they are simple to get. as for the 1980 d I know about another nickel cent of the same year and I SAW another coin of 1962. I heared a story of the nickel cents origins, and I hope it is a real story: A "white" series (with a nickel cent) was minted especially for distribution among USA congress members. A new york coin dealer got some sets. The FBI agents came and confiscated the coins. I heard story from the same person who showed me the nickel cent of 1962. He is an expert in regarding the USA coins.
It's not real The three is wrong. The curve on the bottom is the wrong shape. It's most likely an altered eight.
The "3" is not the right shape. The genuine 1943 cents, both steel and copper, have a "3" that reached below the line in the date. The OP doesn't have it. Compare the "3" in this one.
It doesn’t matter. The issue over the 1943 bronze cents is a lot older than 15 years. Back in the ‘60s, some dealers swore up and down that they didn’t exist.
