1908 $5.00 Indian

I received this coin just over 7 years ago. A nice looking $5.00 gold Recessed Indian, complete with poor photos. Only 577,845 produced and less surviving.

I agree. We need a cointalk vacation where we all look and enjoy. I have a plane voucher from my covid canceled vacation last year

You're not kidding. Every time I unpack a box there's a surprise in it. LOL

 

That coin is way too old the stores probably won't even take it anymore

They'd probably call the police for passing a counterfeit but I'm going to outsmart them and keep it in my coin hoard, err, collection.

 

I just bought the identical date. You found yours in a box. Some guys have all the luck!

 

Have the same problem at when i unpack baoxes , always something i forgot at what i had . And i still have some boxes ahead of me to umpack from storage . . .
