Hi everyone I'm pretty new at numismatic and I am looking for some advice. I came across this 2008 D Hawaii state quarter and it looks like it has a die chip on the inside of the cape under the bicep, but I am not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and extremely helpful. Thanks in advance. 16104984896577471422184687197876.jpg 16104984896577471422184687197876.jpg

Hi Jimmie, a die chip would have resulted in a raised spot on the coin surface. That mark you referenced looks incused (sunken in) and was probably caused by a hit. So it's PMD (post-mint damage).
