I agree, very intriguing and entertaining. I don't have any of the v75 privy marked quarters yet, although I do have several of the earlier West Point issued ones.
Like you, I don't think there is information to track me down either, although I would not mind participating.
Also, due to this, I would be amazed if I did receive something from the Quartermaster :cat:

I just read the whole thread and thought how cool is that, but also thought why is someone looked at as a kook for doing something that gives thought to something besides the chaos of the changing world we live in. To me its crazy how paranoid people seem when something nice is done for them these days. Even more intrigued by every ones posts and what each one has to say about it. I really hope this gets solved because I really am curious how this thread will continue once the persons identity is discovered. Please do not misunderstand my thoughts as judgmental just always been intrigued by human nature and I find this the next best thing to roll hunting.
Hope everyone stays healthy and safe

I can already tell this will have my attention until resolved so I can't help but wonder Has every one who has received something purchased a coin from this site or maybe from the same business or have you all had something slabbed from the same place where maybe this person works and that is how your addresses are gotten. Could it be a moderator. Have you all won something on this or another site. Have you all helped one of the CT members through a rough time.. HMMMMM what's the connection between all that has been gifted something and this person.

Perhaps paranoia is too strong a word. Being an old guy that doesn’t have the facilities he enjoyed as a young man that now has two young adopted children in his house, well yes the protective tendencies tend to set in a bit. While I use the web, I certainly do not trust it and I have been the target of scam artists. I grew up trusting all. I am learning the hard lesson late in life that not all are to be trusted. No, I wouldn’t call it paranoia. Rather cautious optimism.

I have an old saying I use to describe what others might perceive as paranoia. "It's not that I don't trust anyone, it's just that I can't trust everyone".

Appreciate your response and agree dogs are great at judging character but your mention of adopting I like the most. It was my first break in life and the best one and my only regret is how long it took me to realize it was a gift from both sides.
    Thanks again

My hat is off to your adoptive parents. There is a lot of joy bringing hope and love to a youngsters eyes. I do worry about how deep the hurt may reside in those beautiful kids though and if I will handle it properly when it surfaces.

Randy, we've obviously never met, but there is one thing I do know for sure about you. When, or if the time comes to discuss the hurt, there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that you'll be able to handle it 'properly'.

They say actions speak louder than words, and all I have to judge you is your written word/s here on CT, but your words have spoken volumes about who I believe you are. Your kids are very lucky to have you choose them.

Don't know if it's been mentioned or now by why is Toy Story's Stinky Pete on the 2nd envelope?

Unfortunately, this is my "best" counter-stamped coin.

    I somehow don't think it was done by Quarternotes . . . . . . @pouty.gif

Quarter Notes struck here, too! (Minnesota). I would love to show everyone this fun quarter, but it is upstairs in a mess of papers & coins: I received it just before back surgery last Thursday, and then had to have emergency back surgery later Saturday evening. I'll make it up there eventually, but wanted to get my thanks posted to the Man of Mystery. What fun! I'm considering it my get-well card (with coin).

I've also been down the back surgery road, twice. Two spinal fusions. Not fun.

    Get well soon Steve.

Yeah, this was a rodeo I would have avoided, but I wasn't as lucky in my recent falls as when I was younger. I'd had three back surgeries before, including a couple of fusions.

    I texted my pastors on Sunday a.m.: I had L1 laminectomy Thursday, T12, L2 & 3 on Sunday. In earlier years they removed L4 & 5 and S1. So essentially I'm becoming a spineless person :hilarious: .
