    Nice...

I just love wheat cents. The design is so elegant. I have a bajillion of them and tons of "s" mint wheaties. Okay, I don't really have a bajillion or a ton, but I have heaps of 'em! :)

They hold up well over the years, don't they?

Find any good ones then if you have time organize and put them in rolls.

I've lived my whole life on the East coast, so it's always been a big deal for me when I find an S-mint coin in circulation. The YN inside me still does cartwheels when I see a pile of them, even the ones I know aren't rare.

I am afraid I don't understand the fascination with wheaties. They're everywhere and I think they have a very boring design. I have a lot of them, and I don't have any desire to get more. As a collector, I consider them as just another coin. As one who appreciates history and design, they hold no appeal for me.

I think it's more that they're old and affordable (except for the keydates) more-so than design... I'm just collecting wheaties so I can get every date in the best condition I can

When I started collecting as a child, they were the first coin that was within reach (could be found at face value, could be accumulated on a 50-cent-per-week allowance). That kind of early experience leaves traces.

I have gallons of cents, but seldom see a wheatie. What area do you live in?

I have seen where people put wheat cents of the same year in one roll.

If you purchase wheat cents from western states, you are likely to get them. Sometimes you can search for and find sales of "s" mint wheat cents. Happy hunting.

I still receive Canadian coins here in Idaho. Mostly pennies and quarters

Why thank you very much. It was meant to be a little portrait of my Mom (may she rest in peace -- she died almost 2 years ago to the day) the way she looked back in the early 60's. Mom never, however, wore her hair that way! But how does one (who doesn't really know how to draw) depict a French roll when drawing a facing Mommy? :(:writer::sorry::hilarious:
