Hey guys, this silver dollar appears to have an excellent strike.

I've never sent a coin for grading and no plans to sell, but curious how it might grade.

    Thanks in advance! IMG_20210111_140727.jpg IMG_20210111_140903.jpg

It is a proof coin. Not likely to be worth the money to send in for grading. It would have to grade very high. Getting PF 70 grade is very difficult.

Even if it were to grade PF70 UCAM or DCAM (same thing, different grading service) it would not be worth submitting. Most modern proof coins are expected to grade 70.

How to determine if it's CAM or DCAM or neither?

It's the most reflective coin I've seen, and just love the design!

Picked up a bunch of commemorative silver dollars last year for $17 each from the LCS, including this one.

Imho... Looks like PF-70 wouldn't be worth grading tho

Beautiful coin Mkm5. If you plan on just keeping it, then as the others have said, probably not worth the cost to have it graded, but . . . on the other hand, if you did sell it in the future, or your heirs had to deal with it after you've gone to the big collection in the sky, then having it slabbed isn't a bad idea. Their are inexpensive TPG that you could have slab and grade the coin for a reasonable amount. Just a thought.

Thank you for the recommendation! It really is a pretty coin. I guess I was thinking since I've never sent a coin for grading that this might be an interesting first submission, just for fun.
