I'm not a collector of world coins but every once in awhile I run across one that interest me. This one caught my eye. Just neat to me. Maybe it's the angle of the minting or the value of the coin as it's fifteen cents. I just like it and wanted to share.
These are super fun! The odd denomination is because when the Bahamas switched from the British pound to the US-equivalent dollar, 15 cents was close to the value of a shilling. It and the $3 note (roughly 1 pound) are still made today.
