A wonderful example of a 1975 York Coin Club Token honoring the 1800's Canal Boom era.

I grew up in town where a lot of the houses were built on top of the old Erie Barge Canal. The stones in the canal made for a rock solid basement.
    Nice token.

The Erie Canal ran right through the middle of many local towns
Erie Blvd is a main cross town street in many of them now. Some were filled in and the trains went right down the middle, like Syracuse. Some still have the canals and are part of The Barge Canal system that replaced the Erie. Very interesting history and I navigate some on my Porta-bote

I have it in Florida now on a fresh water lake system in Floral City. Replaced the 3.3 2 stroke with a 4 hp 4 stroke
I have 2 others back in NY to ply the Adirondack lakes, a 12.5 like in the picture and a 14’ just obtained.
Easy to maintain social distance while having fun

Neat. I wasn't aware it folded like that.
