Is this coin worth anything? (other than face) Or just somethin to hold onto? Found it in a sack of 36 of these, only this one was not struck right. Scan isnt great, but it shows the error. Also doesnt have the cuts on the side of the coin like the others do.
I know that it would be worth at least a small premium to an error collector, but I have no idea how much.
1970's to 1990's coins that are monometallic (without an external ring of a different material) are extremely common, the most desired ones are denominations made in different planchet denominations (such as a 5 pesos coin on a 10 pesos planchet) This one is a very common coin, probably on the range of the 3.oo USD
Well all I can say is even if it is common, I woudnt throw it out of my collection, I think it is a great error
Hey! It never hurts to keep a coin that you like, a dollar value will never equal the thrill of a good finding or a good item for any coin club "show and tell".
