I feel like I'm being generous at 62, but I'm probably wrong.

Now, you have seen the coins I buy. Would I get a coin that was “generous at 62?” Sheesh!

Thinking MS64+PL. The suffix is a bit of a guess via photos; in hand, I find it infinitely easier to identify if it's got that proof-like reflectivity.

    63 PL for me!

Ah yes, that old adage: context is more important in a GTG thread than pictures.

I know the coins you like to buy. Those dark and lusterless looking fields have to at least be a PL. I'm going to guess 64PL shot DMPL.

Dark and lusterless? Sorry, I just do not see what you are seeing. If it is a funny, that is cool. :)

As expected. The coin appears correctly graded to me. Could have gone 63 or 64. Only debate is whether or not there is enough reflectivity to be DMPL? It is one of the PL coins that is right on the fence. My friend from NGC thinks it could grade DMPL, which would double the value of the coin—this was why I did the GTG.

I think the hits in front of the nose and behind the cap are what kept it as 63. Looks nice to me.

I think so, too. It is ok. We are all pretty stressed as of recent.

I think you took my comment out of context. The fields are dark and appear lusterless because they are Proof Like. That's how those kinds of surfaces appear in images. I bet in hand it's a head light! The devices appear to be very lustrous. It's the type of look that I really like in a Morgan. ;)
