Ok here's another I found quite awhile ago. I was told it was a chipped lamination and also had a blowhole ( on the reverse). The coin is a mess but interesting. Any thoughts from those that know alot more then me. I'm a serious novice. Just love odd coins. There is no white on face of coin. That was some kind of reflection. more pics: http://anothertime2go.com/images/errorcoins/1987centa.jpg http://anothertime2go.com/images/errorcoins/1987centb.jpg http://anothertime2go.com/images/errorcoins/1987centc.JPG
This is how a zinc cent corrodes. When there is a scratch or gouge in the copper coating then the zinc quickly corrodes away. This is just a badly damaged cent. This is also why the new cents are so dangerous if they are swallowed by pets or children.
