I've become quite interested in Greek fractions of late (obol and smaller) - namely because they manage to pack such great detail onto such a tiny flan! Is there a standard reference work for these, or a more general 'beginners' guide to Ancient Greek coinage that would help me in my thirst for knowledge? Pic for attention: a late Christmas gift from a friend, an obol of Nagidos in Asia Minor (ex VAuctions 'Triskele' sale 26 (December 2018), lot 188.
There is an interesting table here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Greek_coinage#Weight_standards_and_denominations I first saw Greek small coins in December and I was also amazed about the artistic design for such small coins.
