Never tried it so do I just say give me X rolls of this or that ? Or, ask for hand rolled ? What's the most efficient routine when dealing with the teller ? Thanks and will give it a go when the $$ comes in. Marty
Ask for a box of whatever you want. Better chance of finding stuff. Cents, nickels, dimes, and halves are best. Quarters are fairly bad.
I usually just say "Hi I would like XX rolls of ____" I find cents and nickels to be the best. I wanna search halfs but my bank doesnt carry em. Good luck!
I've found rolls of cents with over twenty wheaties in the recent past. Just depends on who cashed in before you picked up rolls. By the way, I love the way my hands smell after searching through cent rolls. I know, it sounds a bit twisted.
In most cases yes. The last time I ordered halves, they were all machine rolled. My guess is they were probably frosh from the treasury.
Thanks, I think that's everything... You've answered my questions and I will be trying a few rolls. Marty
So many people are going to my local bank and cashing in their coins that I just ask for a $50.00 bag of cents. That way I know I'm getting coins from in off the street...
That's what I do. I don't search rolls persay. My bank has a coinstar type machine in the lobby, and every other week I will go in and either get a bag of cents 50.00 or a bag of nickels 200.00. Every once in a while I will try a bag of dimes or quarters (1000.00). I always ask if they have have a bag of Halves, but they are far and few between. Dave
