Hello all. Meow is just back from a trip to the bank. Meow has in paw 30 rolls 2020d MBR quarters. There was a roll with an ender with some smutch on it. Meow thought that that was odd to have a dirty coin in BU rolls. But upon closer inspection, it seems the smutch was there during the minting process. As Meow wiped it away, Meow noticed that Washington's face came off with it. What do guys think? Think Meow should open the roll, or keep it the way it is?
Meow meow !! What did you do his face again ? I would open it and see what other surprises there are . Meow !!
Well, so far Meow has opened 7 other rolls. No Ws, Again!..................... And nothing of note besides the strike through.
Nice Struck Through, that is a major dent. Being left in the roll don't help it any. Crack it out to see the reverse.
Meow opened a dozen of the other rolls. No other errors or Ws found. Dang, why do none of the BU rolls Meow gets ever have any Ws?
Ok, Meow opened it. There was nothing else interesting in the roll. The reverse looks normal as far a Meow can tell. Meow suspects the planchet had a big booger in it, and it did not transfer to the die as it was still stuck on there. So no brothers to this one. But Meow did clean it in acetone to get the debris clean and show the results of booger/die interference. Its pretty cool, Meow will keep it for life in the Cat Hoard.
Meow found more silver dimes in the coin return at coinstar rather than rolls. Meow would guess 4 in rolls, and 8 at the coinstar. But Meow does not do dimes that often anymore. Meow does mostly quarters, and some pennies once in a while. Meow has a secondary hoard of intact random quarter and penny rolls that Meow adds to every week for when Meow retires again and need something to do with idle paws.
