    I've posted these in a previous thread and I thought they were absolutely beautiful... I wanted to show these off one last time... BUT somebody pointed out in a previous thread they looked like proofs and I thought that sounded a little iffy... In my opinion it looks MS-65... What do you guys think?

    Meow would think MS66. Meow thinks proofs have better defined rims, that are close to perfection. This one has a fairly uneven rim.

    Nice onset of toning. They're MS65s to me, too.

    I think you have a chance of that top one being a proof. The rims look nice and square, the fields are flat to the rim. I forget what they call a proof that has been out of its original packaging and subject to "circulation."

    It's not "damaged" or "altered" but something akin to that.

    @paddyman98 would know I think.

    It's called an impaired proof. I don't think the rims are square enough

    Often on the proofs the steps look very nice. Both could be proofs.
    The steps on the 59 don't seem correct for a business strike.

    Proof or non proof, those are some really nice coins and look very well cared for. Take care of them.

    Got a life going here
    My stocks went up $10k, my silver hoard down $ 2k
    If silver goes down another 5% I’ll be buying on margin
