Well picked up a few stragglers today...the $2 Note is one of 8000 Got it at a great price just as the $1 Web Press Note... Thanks for looking.... RickieB
great notes from great prices.. double the pleasure, double the fun eh'? great notes RickieB... So what do you think stopped them from getting a 66? On the $2, possible the front margains? on the $1. maybe the same thing? Both bottom borders look skinnier then the top's... either way, 65PPQ is a dang nice note all the same!!!
nice notes ricky! the book you are using was incorrect on the # of 2003 $2.00 stars printed though, the actual production total was 16,000 per district.... you also mentioned a web note but i did not see it in your 2 scans, were you referring to the star? keep looking for those ny beauties! lived there 40 years and made the move to nc
Thanks lewminator.. I will double check my books, I may have indeed grabbed an older one... The $1 star is the "Sheet Press Note"..... Thanks for stopping by... RickieB
Um...what? That's not a web note--if it were, it wouldn't have the "H4" plate position indicator at upper left.... More to the point, there are no web stars in Series 1993. The only web stars were one run of 1988A F..* $1's, and those are extremely scarce. See here for the serial ranges of the web notes....
it wouldnt have the H1 in the lower right either , but i think he just posted the wrong image and hopefully didnt buy a note represented as a web note, which the image posted isnt.
Well it seems that I have made another one of those mistakes I was talking about! I will have to investigate what I did...sorry for the wrong info folks.... I will check this out when I return...LOL but it appears that I did post the wrong image...whoops!! ***UPDATE*** I did post the correct image but made the mistake of typing Web Press instead of Sheet Press note*** Thanks for the correction guy's...I appreciate your mention of my mistake. Kind regards, RickieB RickieB
