Given the age (wild guess only) of the typical collector on this forum, I would guess that we have a collective experience of several thousand years. I have over 70 and still rely on my friends here to help. There are several pseudo collectors that fall into the category being discussed here. In my lifetime I have discovered that when a person has no talent or worthwhile input they tend to use offense to support their lack of knowledge. They try to make others look bad. That takes the focus off of them. They think.

 

I only have 3 years worth of collecting experience but I still know more than this Oompa Loompa
