I just bought my first US coin on eBay.

I've only ever collected British coins before so this is a new adventure for me.

Looks at least VF to me. Hard to tell with scans.

Avery nice series to start with. I loved the design since I was just a young 'un.

Hey man, awesome first purchase. You can get hooked easily with Indian head cents. Looks mid vf to me?
Glad you decided on copper instead of that nasty silver stuff. ;). Just kidding guys.

You can't go wrong with IHCs. That's a great series to collect.

Thats what I was about to say... But wait a minute, isn't the "dark side" what people call collecting non-U.S. coins?

Certainly NOT a design one would see in England.

Not a collector of them but have always like the way an Indian cent wears.

    Good first choice.

NOW you need a Two Cent Piece. Sorry, I'm partial to them. ;)

Couldn't that depend on which side of the fence you sit on? :) But yes technically you are right(in a yoda voice) - which side you sit, matters not. :)

There are actually quite a few over there because of WWI. He will find them on Ebay UK all the time but it's a highly collected series over there so the prices are sometimes a little hefty. :goofer:

    Great first US coin! :thumb:

    Ribbit :)
