Here is another FSB Mercury I picked up this week!
I picked it up on that "awful" ebay. Gee, I know it is not slabbed, but for $7.15 =$1.50 shipping, I just hoped I wouldn't get "burned" like we are always being "warned" about. It was a toss up betwenn this coin and a PCGS ms64(no FSB) for $44.50. Hmmmmmm............

I'd go AU on it, regardless, for the money I'd have grabbed it, nice NewP!

I like her. :) I think I see a NICE big die crack going through the neck all the way to the rim. I would say MS on it, I dont see any wear at all. :thumb:

What makes you say that? :) It looks original to me.

The surfaces look "flat" to me, but that could be just the lighting.

I am assuming the lack of luster is from your picture. Looks MS 65 or better to me! Nice buy!!!

I also think the surface looks to flat to be MS even though details a very nice, yet I agree it could be the camera angle. There are also some less then appealing contact marks on the obverse and a bad nick on the axe of the reverse.

But don't let what I've said disturb you, your coin is quite nice and I would be proud to have it. I personally think you did very good.

    Here's a 43-P MS to compare to. I'd give mine a 64.

I would have to say the coin is AU and that it is not FB even by PCGS standards which is the more lenient of the two.
