So i found a Buffalo Nickel Coin from 1937 and im not sure how much is it worth. how do ik if its S or D? and what is S or D?
Nice find! If it is a D or S, it will be located beneath the words FIVE CENTS on the reverse, or tails side of the coin. A "D" means that it was minted in Denver, CO. An "S" means it was minted in San Fransisco, CA. Depending on what condition your coin is in, the value could be a wide range. Most likely it is worth around $1 or so. If it a D, make sure to check for the three-legged variety!
The reverse is the tails side (side with the buffalo), and a three legged variety is a rare variety of 1937-D nickels where the buffalo is missing his/her/its front leg. Hope this helped.
um i can post one tomorrow cuz my camera charging. i also have a liberty nickel i found from 1905 and some bundesrepublikdeutschland coin with a 5 on the back from 1992 and a idian head coin from 1902
I only really collect U.S. coins so I can't really help on the deutschland coin, but the indian head and the liberty nickel are common dates. Really all depends on condition.
http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/fmv.shtml for values. By "common" I mean that many were minted and they are not rare.
i dont understand that site like im looking at liberty nickel 1905 and the columns have weird things at top? what do they mean
That is the "grade" or condition of the coin. Look up how to grade coins on google and I'm sure you'll find something.
