I have an 1881 s Morgan Dollar that has been polished and was graded AU50... Will it have AU50 value or would it be worth less?
Au50 is really not hight enough grade no the polishing lines won't effect the value its a small premium over melt i say around $30-$40 at the most its like buying a circulated New Orleans morgan rather then your coin even thought its higher grade.
Was it graded AU50 before or After it was polished? Is it still in it's slab? If it wasn't in slab, the grade could be questionable, as normally something that has been cleaned, whizzed, polished etc will receive a 'details' grade
It WAS in a slab... I literally just cracked it out less than an hour ago... and yes it was graded AU50 after it was polished
hey Dark aren't you and your two-sense- cents supposed to be in school use cents to buy a candy bar?wait I forgot it's not 1920 you need .99 more sense these days to do stuff.
It's very obviously polished... maybe even a novice can detect it but it still has a ton of detail and is a beautiful coin...
