    Boy, you said it there!

Not just RM, but the South Korean Mint, too.
I've come upon "secret" information that isn't so secret anymore for South Korea. Yes, the "balance issued" from a mintage can be sometimes just 50% of the mintage figure!

Excellent, can I ask how you got that information or do you have to shoot me? LOL

It is published in a 2006 book by a former currency designer. As "an executive" of the Korean Mint, he was allowed to peruse, at will, all of the Mint's primary documentation (unlike people like me, whom they tell to buzz off). Luckily for us he did that, AND published his book before dying in around 2014. Otherwise this history would likely have NEVER been revealed.

Wow, I wish we could get someone from the Royal Mint to give it up! Nice that you found the book.

Some are confusion between year struck and year on coin (non-FM 1975 Cook Islands coins don't exist- they were dated 1974 but struck in 1975.
And as 7Jags is getting at, the Royal Mint isn't great either - they only release mintages for UK coins.

Yes the 1c looks like it could be from a set (but has had a bit of a rough life) - the 2c is hard to tell.
