Ok. It's a Wacky Friday and it's ... duh .. New Years !! No I'm not drunk. I want to see if anyone can tell me what's going on with this Coin . I couldn't believe it when I found out !! Thanks in advance. I hope someone can help.
Sal.. I know the Error-ref website almost all by memory! http://www.error-ref.com/catastrophic-die-failure-damage/
WOW! Definitely a cud/obverse...lots of damage both sides. I don’t have expertise to advise otherwise, but I know a bonafide cud when I see one...Spark
What? What I do now ? I knew he would know it, I as waiting for less qualified to guess , It's called a game . Lighten up. It's just Coins . Not a life situation . My God people
Sal's coin picture is the picture of the coin from Paddyman's link. Not Sal's coin at all. Although he never said it was his, but asking for help with a coin from a webpage telling you what it is.......is wasting everybody's time.
@SensibleSal66 ...CT folks tend to the serious about coins. What you gave us is “tongue-in-cheek”. Back in 1972 I took a speech class (Prof. Robert Hardy). One of the first things he taught us was that if you say something tongue-in-cheek, you must ensure your audience knows that’s what you are doing. Next time, just structure it from the get-go that it is a test or a game, so people don’t get confused. Based on the variety of responses, no one knew you were joking...imo...Spark
I'll be honest. I would have guessed it was just damaged. Looks like someone grabbed it with pliers and put solder on it. Never thought of die failure. Crazy coin.
OK, just to make it clear , I DON'T actually own this coin. This was started to just simply see what people would GUESS the error . Obviously nothing escapes Ed's eye and he revealed it, the expert he is . I was hoping for newer members to guess and I thought it was strange how it says Catastrophic Die Failure . Sound like a health Condition .
