Stella, I'd be careful using the PCGS price guide as a guideline. Everyone knows those figures are over inflated. Heck, I wouldn't even use the Redbook (for US coins) as a guideline. ;)

I rather think that she is trying to tell you, or get you to agree, that she got a good deal. She appears to be proud of her purchases, just like all the rest of us are, and she is trying to share that.

    Stella,

I see you are in Colorado. So am I. I live in Colorado Springs. Where do you live?

Your values aren't correct, IMO. PCGS guides for these coins in particular is inflated.

However, I don't think you did badly, but neither do I think you got a particularly great deal either (the 1908 being the exception -- from the photo it appears to be quite a coin, and a top-pop RB to boot if memory serves).

That said, if you are happy with the coins and price, then you DID get a good deal. :)

I would prefer the op had stopped at sharing the pictures. It is, IMO, rather gauche to speak of $$$.

    Hi ! Stella,

I love Indian Coins. The coins you purchased are amazing no matter what price you payed. I for one would have payed the price or more if I thought I could afford them. Just to have one of these beautiful coins in my possion would be well beyond any coin collectors dreams. Thanks for sharing.

What's it gonna take before you guys catch on. Stella is not just another user name for someone from the past.

Do you really think we are so stupid that we couldn't figure it out is she was ? And do you really think we would allow her to stay if she was ?

Could be Stella Stevens from Jerry Lewis's wonderful film, The Nutty Professor.

Who is this other person you speak of...

Fine, My bad but I wasnt the 1st to make this assumption.

    My apologies.

Nice coins ,but I dont care what they paid for them. All that matters is that the buyer is happy & enjoys them.

It doesn't matter who the other person was. The only thing that matters is that Stella is new member here who has so far been treated with nothing but disrespect by some of our other members. Frankly, I am ashamed of them. And they, should be ashamed of themselves.

Coin Talk is known and always has been known as the one place where anyone and everyone would be treated with respect. Unfortunately, that has not happened in this case. And Stella, I apologize for their behavior to this point.

If it continues, I shall begin handing out infractions to the offending members.
