I joined Coin Talk only in January, @LaCointessa, so I don't really know you, but Happy New Year anyway!

And Happy New Year to all of you. A year from now, may we all be as happy and hopeful for the future as my mother's parents were in Weimar Berlin on December 31, 1924. That's them in the bottom row on the far left, my grandfather with the mustache and my grandmother with her leg stretched out under his arm. (My mother, less than two years old, was not at the party!)

Things changed later, of course, but I prefer to think of this moment of happiness frozen in time, and coming around again for us all.

    Hiiiiya again, everyone!

It is so great to see you all. Thank you for being here and welcoming me 'home.'
I had my day of rest and then had to deal with an issue with my landlord ...ugh. Anyway, I would have been back sooner but i knew i was going to need a bit of time!!

Hiya Chris @cpm9ball Happy New Year. :)

Thank you, @Inspector43 :pompous:!! I don't think we have met, but howdy!

I'm glad to be back @Alegandron ! Great to see you!

Oh wow....but that smoked salmon, @Theodosius - John, did you smoke it yourself? If so, would you mind telling me which end you lit? :D :cigar::hilarious: What a lovely way to bring in the new year. A bit of thinly sliced red onion, a few capers....yummyyyy. The coins make the celebration all the more exciting. You sure know how to bring in the new year!

@furryfrog02 !! Hi!! Thanks and I certainly will post photographs and short descriptions of technique in the not too far distant future. I was going to look at them tonight but I wanted to come here to say hello to each of you. I can look at them tomorrow and see if maybe i can put something up soon. I had the thought yesterday to compare the ones i cleaned last time look now. It seems to me that perhaps patina may return faster than I expected. or begin to return, grow. I'm not sure. But it has been a while (2 years? Maybe a bit more?) since they were cleaned and it might be interesting and worthwhile to carefully examine :nurse: them.

Heya @Kentucky - Excellent!!! How have you been? I hope all is great with you! :shame:

Howdy @Robert Ransom - Hope you had a great start to the new year!

Thanks @Bing !! Yes! 2021 WILL/MUST be much better than 2020 :arghh:for all of us!
I really enjoyed seeing your 2020 coins. I still need to go back and see the ones that came in right before the new year. Your coins are gorgeous! And the one I thought might have a reverse showing an eagle similar to two you posted...it is not an eagle. After a bit more cleaning, I think it is a dove. Might see a wreath (or something) in it's beak. :chicken: . I will probably post that coin also.

@Roman Collector !!! This is great! Thank you for welcoming me. I'm glad to see you and everyyyybody!! Yaaaayy! So glad that everyone is well. I was thinking about you guys and praying that you were all well and this virus would not touch you or the people you love! and I imagined all of you guys with your masks looking like this: :bag:

Hello there @OutsiderSubtype ! What you say is true. May it be as you say! That coin looks beautiful to me. I love when they look like that! Wet clean slate black color with chalk on top. :)

@zumbly - Ohh....great to see you.:shame: I need to make time to go and see what marvelous coins you guys have been acquiring!! I wonder what new coins you have obtained since I was here last. Well...I'll find time to look!

Thank you very much @ancient coin hunter .... It feels good to be here and I am enjoying saying hello to each of you. It is amazing how quickly this crazy year passed and how distracted this one was. I'm so glad we are into a new year.

Yes @7Calbrey - May this year bring G-d's blessings to us. May we have peace and something that causes some of that wonderful profound joy that makes your heart feel crazy GREAT!!

Happy new year, @jamesicus - Good to see you again. -edited: Sorry, i did not mean to emoji wink at you. Gee whiz.

Thank you @ominus1 for welcoming me back. I did not intend to stay away so long. The year got away from me before I knew it. :sorry::oops:

Hi @otlichnik - I don't believe we have met before. Have we? Well anyway...Nice to meetcha, i'm sure! :joyful:

@Victor_Clark - Thank you for posting! You are very kind and extremely generous. Oh! That fallen horseman coin I am cleaning now is not one of the two coins I pulled recently from your collection you sent to me. I guess whenever I see a fallen horseman I think: Victor Clark.

I will post this now - grab something to drink and come back and finish. :joyful:

Nice to meet you @DonnaML - Thank you for helping to welcome me back! I appreciate it. I am going to have to spend some more time with your photograph. There is a lot going on there! Welcome to CointTalk!

Hey there @green18 - Nice to see ya! And I always enjoy looking at your avatar photograph. It still amazes me! :snaphappy::bag::joyful:

Good to see you @Cucumbor - I hope you've been great! Santa with a mask? Things really gotten bad - I guess Rudolph had to wear a mask, too...also...as well :doctor::shifty:;)

Deacon Rayyyyyyyyy!!! @Deacon Ray !:sorry::shame: I hope you had a great Christmas. I always imagine that everyone is calling on you for your help and encouragement especially during that time of year. G-d's blessings upon you and your family and everyone you love. Deacon Ray, I also have not forgotten that I have that little collection of Indian coins with your name on it. I have not done any further cleaning of them and i know they are not finished yet. I will take them out and examine them, as well. :angelic::) So you were boxed in and not around here either for a while? Then it is even BIGGER blessing to me that you happened to be here at this time! Deacon, you look so young in that avatar...and it looks 3D. Nice

    .
Well, everyone. It's after 3am and i will hit the hay so I won't sleep too late in the morning!

    blessings on everyone!
