Now that checks are starting to be direct deposited, courtesy of the IRS, what are y'all planning on doing with yours?
Since my wife retired this year we were planning on doing some traveling. After Covid hit we put our plans on hold so I'll probably just put in the bank until all of this stuff is over.
Suggestion to the poll...Add "I don't qualify". Some out there like me make to much based on joint filing. SMH. You guys enjoy your free spending. Lol
I'm guessing there are quite a few folks who are putting it toward more than one of those options. We try to find ways to help folks who've been hit harder than we have, whether it's paying higher prices to buy local, leaving much larger tips for takeout meals, buying music/lessons from local artists, or outright donations.
My wife and I are doing the same, we've been fortunate enough to stay working the whole time, and it seems like there's less opportunity to piss it away like before the pandemic, so we're spending local and trying to help others that are struggling. We're still spending less, in total, than before, though.
I didn't know that these Covid Federal aid funds could be used to count against Medicaid eligibility. They cannot be used as part of adjusted income calculations for Medicare Part B premium assessment.
