Another 1983 Penny...

    This one is from the Denver mint. I just thought it was interesting and figured I would post a few pictures to get some feedback on it and maybe learn a little something about how it may have occurred.

    It's easier to see what you have if you would please post photos of the entire coin with clear closeups of the area(s) in question. Thank you.

    In the first two pictures, there is a "ring" or "circular area" above liberty. The edge of this ring is raised on the coin and there are a series of those little bubbles that zinc coins get.
    In the other two pictures, there is another raised area in the form of a crooked line moving from the U in united around the coin and through the ON in one. Near the end, there are several, what look to be, jagged die cracks around the area.

    Here are more photos of the coin but they are not really any better. Sorry.

    Hmm. I don't know, this coin seems to have a lot of problems not Errors . Zinc rot or beginnings , possibe die cracks and some kind of staining . JMHO

    You are probably right. It looks a lot neater in person. Two dimensional photographs suck when trying to make what you see clearly to others.

    No errors that I see. Just issues to the plating.
