Unfortunately, this would not be the first case of a fake getting into a lot from a respectable dealer. No one is perfect. It is how they handle issues that is the real test.

Several examples of this coin are found on Dr. Prokopyev's fake section of the Forum site.

Not only are they exact, but the style does not match the original type. It is very close, but for example all Constantinople Galleys that I can find have a different form of bow post.

Sadly I doubt yours is the one original.

I would argue with you, since mine does not appear to be cast, except for the fact that there are other fake FTR galleys that were struck. My guess is that there are other struck copies of this issue, too, that just have not turned up yet.

I agree about the bow post, too. I hadn't noticed this before. Other than that, it's a pretty good fake for a $25 coin. Some people have too much time on their hands.

    Nice galleys, @hotwheelsearl !

Here are a few Judaean prows and galleys. This is an old poster from 2017—I probably have a few more by now.

Neat! Those coins look rather small but have great details on those boats!

I have heard about these Deacon Ray posters. I see why all the attention. This one is great.

Is there a place that they are all archived or to find them all?
