I would consider it Red or at least Red Brown. I don't think it has been cleaned and I would like to know what you guys think.
I am trying to take good pictures without using a loupe, because when I do use it, I can't photograph coins larger than a quarter. I turned on the macro setting on my camera. Through the lens, the quality isn't any better. Does it only work once I take the picture? What am I doing wrong?

I have 3 sources, over-head 60W flood at 270°, 60W compact flourescent diffused at 45°and a natural light desklamp diffused for ambient flood-fill.
