Hello today I have a coin here still in the mint cellophane with markings on the rim and washingtons hair. Any help with what this is would be apreciated. 20201229_200047.jpg 20201229_200036.jpg 20201229_200029.jpg

    I think it's a collar clash error

To me it appears to be a packaging error. The coin itself was not in error but when the cellophane was sealed the edge of the coin was sealed with it.

The damage you see to the coin is due to the packaging machinery at the mint and isn't worth any premium.

I agree. When the package is sealed sometimes they damage the rim.

    Definitely not a collar clash.

Not an error, post strike damage. It was too close to the edge of the "pocket" and the edge got run over by the package sealer.

    fairly common packaging damage from
    the sealing machine.

See, here is why I wish more people would use and differentiate PMD and PSD (Post Mint Damage and Post Strike Damage) as this is a crystal clear case of PSD not PMD.
