http://coins.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Inventory_No=800027136 They have a LOT of coins with no pics. Who do they expect to buy these? Is this really a way to sell coins? f they priced them at 20% below bid for a sight unseen coin they would get buyers but these are way above bid!
The only thing I can tell you is they all have this statement; Not familiar with it and can add nothing more. Maybe cave_troll will stop by and explain it.
It sure is a pain in the you know where , how can you bid on something you can't see , without even a description to go on , don't the consigners know they'll lose money without a decent picture . rzage
Umm how long does it take to take a pic again? Like 5 minutes?!?! That is pure laziness on HA's part.
These coins are not at heritage, they are only listing them for someone. They have been doing this for years -- you see it all the time on the buy it now coins. I have never bid on one of these and I just skip any that show up. It is not really a big deal to me - I only focus on the ones with pictures.
Hmmmm - you must be forgetting that until just a few years ago, less than 10, that's exactly how most people bought ALL their sight unseen coins. And realize, a coin bought on the basis of a picture is still a sight unseen coin. To be a sight seen coin, you have to hold it in your hand when buying it.
