New Thread, what 3 coins would you take above all others in the world (no paper please)? What would you do with these three coins? Why would you do it? Rules: 1. These three will be the only coins you will ever have. 2. But you may sell, trade or do anything you want (except buy additional Rare coins) to with these 3 coins but you will never get anymore. 3. Why would you do what you decided to do with these three coins (you don't have to do anything). 4. You can choose any 3 coins in the world regardless of value or rarity (be as specific as possible in describing denomination and condition - (they must be in existence). And yes, this could easily be considered as a morals or values undertaking but does not have to be. Please let your imaginations run wild !!!!
3 coins hmmmmmmm. 1. I'm going to have to have a 1933 $20 Gold St.Gaudens. Would be bad only have 3 coins if one of them is the most expensive in the world , and those coins have an amazing history. In MS-68 of course. 2. How about the 1895 Business Strike P Morgan dollar ( not the Proof ), in MS67. Does that count, maybe they really are out there :rolling:. Either way with a possible mintage of 12,000, It would make it the rarest Morgan in the series by far. 3. Since I'm a Morgan guy I'll take a MS70 DMPL 1893 S Morgan. Why you ask lol, because it would be pretty cool to have the only real MS70 Morgan (Not graded by SGS), and it's a 1893 S !!!! Well there's my crazy list, great idea for a thread btw.
I should probably post my three right? I should probably post my three right? Well, 1. The highest graded 1792 half disme, I think there is at least one in SP-67. That coin I would keep for my collection then later to be given to our nations collection (Smithsonian) for the benefit of all citizens. 2. The highest graded 1913 Liberty Head Nickel. That coin I would auction and live off the profits and set up a trust fund for my heirs. 3. The third one I'm going to keep thinking about for a bit.
